Former pro bowl linebacker Anthony Barr suffered a hamstring injury during the Cowboys’ prior win against the Chicago Bears. Despite receiving an extra week of rest due to the Cowboy’s bye week, Barr’s injury still lingers on and will prevent him from taking the field when the Cowboys visit Green Bay to take on Aaron Rodgers and the Packers. This opens the door for Damone Clark to make his first NFL start. Clark came in and played well last week after Barr’s injury, logging 4 total tackles in his career defensive snaps. While a raw rookie, Clark as exceptional size and athletic ability that will give Dan Quinn and extra weapon on defense to utilize. This will be an interesting personnel decision going forward, as good play from Clark may supplant the struggling Barr in the defensive line up. Will update when more information becomes available.
