
The Arkansas Razorbacks fully imposed their will today, beating the South Carolina Gamecocks into submission to open up SEC play. The offensive line and running game of the Hogs overwhelmed the front of South Carolina, helping the Razorbacks take control of the game for a wire to wire victory. Raheim Sanders led the way with 156 yards rushing and 2 rushing touchdowns.

Kj Jefferson also played very well, finishing the contest 17/20 for 156 yards and a touchdown. He was also the second leading rusher for the second straight week, adding 67 yards rushing and a rushing touchdown.

All totaled the Razorbacks finished the game with 306 yards on the ground and won time of possession 34:41 to 25:19.
While the injury riddled secondary gave up 378 yards through the air they only allowed one passing touchdown and were able to come up with a redzone interception. The victory marks the first victory over South Carolina since their 44-28 win during the 2011 season. The defensive front of Arkansas limited South Carolina to only 45 yards rushing on 29 carries and were able to pressure quarterback Spencer Rattler all afternoon. The Razorbacks now turn their attention to Missouri State, who is set to visit Razorback Stadium next week.
