This series will focus on the Heisman odds of the Razorbacks’ star quarterback, Kj Jefferson. The second year starter is looking to improve on his impeccable 2021 campaign and is projected to be a legit Heisman candidate by season’s end. At the time of this article, Jefferson currently has the 18th best odds of winning the Heisman, at +6600.

Jefferson opened the season at home against the #23rd ranked Cincinnati Bearcats and he was able to pick up directly where he left off last season. Jefferson finished the contest 18/26 for 223 yards and 3 passing touchdowns. He also finished second in rushing for the Razorbacks with 62 yards and a rushing touchdown as the Razorbacks trampled over the Cincinnati defense to secure a 31-24 lead. With such a dominate performance against a ranked opponent Jefferson’s Heisman stock should be way up.
Jefferson will have another opportunity to improve his Heisman résumé when the Razorbacks host SEC rival, the South Carolina Gamecocks Saturday afternoon.
